Awards for All Programme Increases Grant Levels (UK)19th November 2023

Schools across the UK can now apply for grants of up to £20,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund – Awards for All programme. This represents a significant increase from the previous maximum grant size of £10,000.

Projects can last for up to two years.

The funding boost is intended to support projects that involves schools as well as the surrounding communities.

Eligible projects must achieve at least one of the following objectives:

  • Bring people together to build strong relationships within and across communities
  • Improve places and spaces that matter to communities
  • Help individuals reach their potential by providing early support
  • Assist individuals, communities, and organisations facing difficulties due to the cost-of-living crisis

The funding can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

  • Organisational running costs
  • Equipment
  • One-off events
  • Staff costs
  • Training costs
  • Transport
  • Utilities
  • Volunteer expenses
  • Small land or refurbishment projects

Previous Projects include:

  • A grant of £9499 to Blyton cum Laughton CE Primary School for an intergenerational IT training sessions for children, older local residents and the wider community, enabling people to develop new skills and reducing the feeling of isolation.
  • A grant of £3300 to St Joseph's Primary School to set up a breakfast club for its children, providing them with healthy and nutrious food and the opportunity to participate in a range of educational activities.
  • A grant of £9936 to Hawes Down School Parent Teacher Association to establish an after-school community sports club for the benefit of children and families in the area. The grant will pay for coaching and gym equipment.
